Fairway Forward Seminar 2025
Date: 8 October 2025
Time: 13.30–17.00 (CET)
Place: Clarion Hotel Draken, Gothenburg, Sweden
Registration: Participation is free, but registration is required by 3 october.
The maritime sector is a vital part of global infrastructure, supporting trade, transportation, and economic
growth. As the industry continues to evolve, ensuring safety and securing the right skills and
competencies are essential priorities for its long-term sustainability.
This seminar brings together experts to discuss ways to strengthen maritime safety both today and in
the future. We will take a closer look at current initiatives in accident prevention, preparedness, and
coordination, highlighting how Finland and Sweden collaborate to address common safety challenges
in the Baltic Sea region.
Another key focus is the people behind the safety systems. The maritime sector faces an increasing
demand for skilled professionals. How can we ensure that the right competencies are in place to meet
future needs? What strategies can attract new generations to the industry, and how can we support
continuous learning in an increasingly complex environment?
Be part of a forward-thinking seminar where we examine how safety and competence together shape
the maritime sector’s resilience.
